Handwashing from Kelsey March 18
Good morning everyone! This is just a great little video explaining to children how germs can stick to our hands! This is geared more towards preschoolers but I'm sure your toddlers will still love it and understand it. For babies it may be harder to wash their hands for a full 20 seconds but maybe just make a fun bubble party in the sink for them. Babies are constantly putting everything in their mouths which is apart of their sensory development. Take time to sanitize toys at home (I use a spray bottle of 1/3 vinegar to water) it's as good as bleach! Stay home and stay safe everyone!
If a teacher is sitting on the floor the children come over and want to sit on their legs and when one child sees this more gather as well. So at least 4 children will sit on the teachers legs and they start singing row row. Usually they want to do this over and over many many times through the day. They want you to sing all three verses "row row row your boat gently down the stream merrily merrily life is but a dream. 2nd verse rock rock rock your boat gently on the tide merrily merrily to the other side. 3rd verse row row row your boat gently down the stream and if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream and they say ahhhhh

Ice Painting from Bev March 19
Today I am sharing an activity that can be used for different aged children. It is super easy. The children can explore science, cause and effect, colour recognition, sensory, creative expression. During this activity they can feel the texture of the ice when it solid and when it becomes liquid. Children can mix the colours together. It is fun to paint with different kinds of materials.
