From the Daycare Act: “The facility’s agenda for each meeting includes (48 (5))
➢ Safety, care and well being of the children (48 (5)(a)): There have been some fevers and some facial rashes which we believe the rashes were some reactions to sunscreen.

➢ Programs provided by the licensee (48 (5)(c )): Our curriculum is Emergent. We provide both full and part time programs for toddlers and preschoolers; full time programs only for infants.
➢ Equipment & materials available to the children (48 (5) (d)): same as previous noted with the additional purchases of several large boxes of lego, bubbles and chalk
- Staffing patterns and staff qualifications (48 (5) (e)):

Ø Fundraising: The account stands at a balance of $2938.49. This is down since our last meeting as we were charged: -$7.35 for monthly fees and a cheque fee. We get reimbursed this annually. We have a deposit to take to the bank of $240.00 from our Epicure fundraiser. We owe $135 to the main daycare account for the actual product which was paid to the Epicure representative by e-transfer on May 4th so we made a profit of $105 on this fundraiser.
Ø TEACHERS’ APPRECIATION DAY: This year the celebration is on a Wednesday, May 20 with the dinner out taking place on the Friday night the 22nd. The Halifax Feast Dinner Theatre is booked for 22 for that evening. The email about the events went out to families on May the 11th.
Ø SLEEPOVER FOR JUNE: We are sad to report that is seems unlikely for us to have a sleepover this year as we have been asked to participate in an Early Childhood Education environment bus tour with ECEs visiting us on both June 13th and June 20th. The majority of staff are also attending the annual NSCCA provincial conference on June 6th. We plan to have several (3 or 4) next year so that we can send 4 teachers to the Play Empowers Conference and Rally in Maryland in April 2016.
Next Parent Committee Meeting: September / October, 2015
